CHEST Foundation

CHEST is the leading professional society representing the goals and interests of chest physicians and clinicians globally—boasting more than 18,700 members, and 350,000 CHEST Journal readers. McKnight Kurland was initially engaged to plan, develop and implement two simultaneous communications campaigns to their broad-based membership—one about a complete member model restructuring affecting every individual and affiliate, and one introducing a soon to be implemented new AMS. Over a six-month period, McKnight Kurland planned and created a multi-channel outreach initiative under our campaign theme of Tomorrow > Today. With the promise of ‘greater than’ as our centralizing theme to both communications initiatives, we then developed and executed an integrated plan which concentrated tactical outreach in flights. These elements included:

  • Numerous videos from leadership
  • Advertising campaign
  • Monthly email program
  • Articles and newsbrief communications
  • Q and A collateral communications

We continue to partner with the organization and are also working with the CHEST Foundation on lung health public awareness initiatives, including:

  • A patient-oriented COPD video geared to the Hispanic community
  • Video on recognizing and understanding sarcoidosis
  • Microsite on sarcoidosis symptoms and treatment
  • Patient education materials for living with asthma and COPD, including:
    • 40 page booklets
    • Infographics
    • Mythbusters
